With the spirit of a watchman who continually watches over God’s people without reservation, Trial Bishop Dr. Kenneth Ellis is determined to up build the Kingdom of God. He was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where he attended Broward County Schools with a High School Degree from Stranahan High School. He is the son of the late Deacon Walker Lee Ellis and Sis. Geraldine Ellis and brother of Sister Felicia Ellis May. State Elder Ellis is married to Deaconess Tamara Elliott-Ellis and together, they have 2 children; Marcus James and Joycelyn Kenyatta Ellis.
Currently, Dr. Ellis holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration while he minored in Marketing Research from Bethune – Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida. In addition, Dr. Ellis received certification in Employment Law from the Institute for Applied Management and Law and East Cornell.
Dr. Ellis began working in the House of God Church as a youth serving on the Deacon Board. He has served as Pastor and Assistant Pastor in the following cities: Daytona Beach, West Palm Beach, Vero Beach, Palmetto, Plant City, Bradenton, Ocala, Sarasota, Florida and Essex Maryland.
Presently, Dr. Ellis is Presiding Prelate of the California Diocese, District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia, Advisor to the Island of Jamaica, the assistant to the Presiding Prelate of the West Coast of Florida and Pastor of Sarasota, Florida. He holds several positions in the West Coast Diocese: State Trustee Board Member and State Preparation Committee. On the National level, he serves on the Supreme Executive Council, General Trustee Board, National Music Committee, National Scholarship Committee and Advisor of the National Budget Committee.
He is on assignment to bring Heaven to earth and bring God’s people up where Heaven meets earth. Being in God’s presence, people can hear God for themselves. God has called this watchman to ministry of reconciliation and empowerment for Kingdom living expressed through his passion of the Word of God.
