The House of God Church Which is The Church of the Living God, the Pillar and Ground of the Truth Without Controversy, Inc. I Timothy 3:15-16, was founded and resurrected in the United States in 1903 by Mother Magdalena Tate with her sons, Walter Curtis Lewis and Felix Early Lewis.
The words of our founder: “Let it be known to all Saints that this was not a new, or strange, or black religion, but a resurrection of the same church written in the scriptures in the book of Acts of the Apostles and quoted by Apostle Paul in 1 Timothy 3:15-16. Also, Saint Mary Magdalena Tate is an Apostle Elder of Jesus Christ as evidenced by her works through the power of the Holy Ghost.”
After Nine years of research for The Biographical Dictionary of African-American Holiness-Pentecostal:1180-1990, author Sherrod DuPree, discovered that Mother Magdalena Tate of Georgia was the first woman who founded a Pentecostal Movement in the United States of America. She originally thought that the origin of the Pentecostal Movement in America was in 1906. More than a century later, our legacy continues. We invite you to join the Movement.
